CD Trader

You’ll be joining the TFI Principal Trading team. We trade a range of products for UBS Wealth Management clients, including IG Credit, HY Credit, Emerging Markets, Preferreds, Brokered CDs, Treasuries, Agencies and MBS. We also act as an underwriter for Brokered CDs and Credit Union Share Certificates.

About the role

• Engage closely with the CD Desk to learn and assist in Brokered CD underwriting efforts.
• Work with Traders to learn all aspects of trading Taxable Fixed Income flows for Wealth Management clients in Credit, US Treasuries and Agencies, Brokered CDs, and MBS.
• Assist with trade entry, corrections, research and following up on trade issues.
• Assist in daily P&L collections and distribution to management.
• Comply with regulations and internal policies, including quality of execution, pricing, hedging, trading limits, and compliance policies.
• Manage trading, execution, operational and compliance risk, amongst others.
• Work closely with Sales and Trading teams to help drive order flow and revenue generation.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
• Strong desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Knowledge of taxable fixed income products.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or other quantitative field preferred.
• Strong Excel knowledge and computer skills.
• Regulatory licenses (e.g.: Series 7, 66, SIE).
• Curiosity to explore how AI can improve workflows, with sound judgment—validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Bloomberg terminal.

Pay

The indicative gross base salary range for this full-time role in New York, NY is USD 90,000 – USD 102,500 per annum. The expected salary will be determined by relevant factors including role-required experience, qualifications, education, location, and skill level.
