CCTV Operator

About the role

CCTV (Camera) Operators perform services ranging from locating manholes from a map, performing confined space entry operations, and performing standard CCTV/Cleaning operations. The job includes work in and around waterlines, sanitary and storm sewers. Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote cameras that utilize CCTV to record interiors of various pipelines for inspections to determine if cleaning is needed (and what type) and if the pipeline is a candidate for lining
• Jet, cable, and install clean-outs
• Locate manholes from a map
• Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned
• Operate and maintain all equipment
• Perform all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection, and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Repair various pipelines using a specific product and process
• Supervise and participate in jetting of sewer lines and vacuuming of manholes and lift stations
• Set up and take down traffic control in the street
• Store footage and watch surveillance

Requirements

• At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction
• General knowledge of the operation of closed video camera equipment and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred
• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications
• Proficient skills with lasers, line, and grade
• Strong customer service and communication skills along with mechanical aptitude
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and necessary safety precautions

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Pay

Salary range: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on position qualifications, job-related skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
