Vinfen is a nonprofit, health and human services organization and a leading provider of community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges. Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or another related field required.
- LCSW, LICSW or LMHC in state of service preferred, but not required.
- At least 1-3 years' experience working in the human services field, preferably working in a behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) community-based setting or an acute or diversionary behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
- Must possess excellent intake, interviewing and assessment skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to clients; must demonstrate person-centeredness and open-mindedness in approach to working with clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that is benefitted by the independent successes of all staff members.
- Ability to contribute independently to a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop effective documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally, ethnically, and socially diverse populations.
- Understanding of social determinants of health and commitment to crisis intervention in the context of whole-person care.
Skills
