CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications Engineering Tech, III)
Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III to support a Federal Government client at our Ft. Gordon, Georgia location. The Telecommunications Tech will provide on-site support of Information Technology (IT) and Audio-Visual (A/V) installations within the CCoE Transformation program.
Responsibilities
- Builds AV racks based of drawings provided by the engineering team
- Leads on site integration and installation
- Lables communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics
- Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces
- Fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling
- Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various AV systems
- Trubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems
- Performs inventory management and record configuration information on installed equipment and software modules
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience performing testing and/or integration of audio visual (A/V) equipment
- Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communications abilities
- Experience using MS Office products
- Must be able to lift items up to National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) limits
- Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Maintain a valid passport
Desired Qualifications
- J-STD Certification(s)
- Experience with testing fiber and/or copper AV certifications
Education
A high school diploma or GED
Clearance
All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.
Pay
The SCA (Service Contract Act) role at The MIL Corporation is subject to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor. As an SCA position, it is classified as a service contract and is subject to specific wage determinations and benefit requirements mandated by the government. The compensation and benefits for the SCA role at The MIL Corporation will be in accordance with the prevailing wage rates and benefits specified by the Department of Labor for the specific job classification and location.
The current rate is $28.79 - $33.11 per hour. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
