About the Role

This remote, overnight position requires a Certified Medical Assistant with 3-5 years of customer service experience. The role involves providing clinical and administrative support to Cooper 365 and Primary Care Services, ensuring access to care within the Cooper Integrated Specialist Network. The successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts (8:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM) and must be local to the Camden, NJ area for in-person training and potential departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between clinicians and patients, handling check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and work baskets.
  • Provide remote/in-person Medical Assistant support, including vitals, patient questions, and ordering bloodwork scripts.
  • Maintain EHR database, register patients, print/upload documents, and ensure patient completion.
  • Handle all Cooper 365 phone matters, including remote check-in/out and MA services.
  • Complete recertifications, referrals, and prior authorizations in a timely manner.
  • Process record requests, new patient contracts, and questions through MRO.
  • Manage incoming faxes, route to providers, and ensure proper uploading into charts.
  • Provide information to patients to fully utilize clinical services.
  • Maintain regulatory standards in daily operations.
  • Escalate and resolve customer complaints independently and assist clinicians with patient escalations.
  • Oversee scanning of documents, CDL physicals, and medication sample management.
  • Ensure consistent collections based on agreements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant.

Skills

  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling and scheduling templates.
  • Strong medical terminology.
  • Experience with hospital outpatient registration.
  • Excellent time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively solve problems.
  • Compassionate with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Efficient analytical skills.

Schedule

Overnight shifts: 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts and holidays.
