CC CHANNING - ADMISSIONS CLERK
Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of outpatient testing or procedures. Ensures that the patient’s information is collected, entered in the computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of Urgent Care policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer. Distributes appropriate information to all ancillary departments. Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate quarterly on all admissions.
Responsibilities

- Collect and accurately enter patient information into the computer system
- Ensure all patients are aware of Urgent Care policies and procedures
- Interview incoming patients or representatives to gather admission information
- Distribute appropriate information to ancillary departments
- Maintain a 95% accuracy rate quarterly on all admissions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher
- Current BLS Certification
- One to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to use hospital information system and operate basic computer functions and software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computing rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs)
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as a team player
