Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following all CBRF/RCAC policies, medication administration procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Provide hands-on caregiving support, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and mealtime support
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, medication side effects, or concerns, and promptly report updates to the appropriate team member
  • Document medications, care provided, and resident status accurately and in a timely manner
  • Promote resident dignity, choice, comfort, and safety while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, including proper medication storage, infection control, and compliance with facility policies
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support
  • Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility)
  • Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities
  • Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood
  • Adhere to and champion the Embrace Memory Care philosophy
  • Document daily according to memory care policies and procedures and state regulations, including communication of any resident concerns, change in condition, or related topics
  • Ensure SLC policy and procedure is followed to maintain a safe work environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and staff training on safe working practices
  • Ensure timely response and follow-up to resident/family/employee concerns to provide a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • You love working with people and handle everyday challenges with a smile
  • Experienced in long-term care or Assisted Living
  • Able to communicate well in both verbal and written forms
  • Committed to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff
