About the Role

These jobs focus on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization, and revenue cycle analysis. Revenue cycle staff oversee the entire process of billing, collecting, and reconciling patient accounts, manage claims submission, payment processing, and account resolution to ensure the university healthcare system captures and maximizes revenue while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Individual contributors provide support in direct service, operational, technical, or administrative functions, spending the majority of time delivering support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage billing, insurance claims, and payment processing for patient accounts.
  • Oversee claims submission, payment processing, and account resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations.
  • Provide financial counseling and support to patients as needed.
  • Perform revenue cycle analysis to maximize revenue capture.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Job requires sitting for prolonged periods.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $17.00 - $32.63 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
