About the role

Manage the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a revenue cycle staff member, managing claims submission, payment processing, and account resolution.
  • Ensure the university healthcare system captures and maximizes revenue while maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Provide support to an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions.
  • Spend a majority of time delivering support services or activities, typically under supervision.
  • Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience.
  • Seasoned individual contributor, works under limited supervision for routine situations, provides assistance and training to lower level employees.
  • Make minor adjustments to working methods and independently develop solutions to problems.
  • Explain practices, procedures and policies to reach agreement with others outside of the Job Area.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years relevant experience required.
  • Licensure: None.

Qualifications

  • Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, attention to detail, must be able to hear, speak, read and write legibly.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in healthcare billing and coding systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $33.28 hourly.

Schedule

Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
