CBD Production Lead

About the role
The Production Lead ensures the highest quality and consistent products by performing all duties meticulously and assisting with daily workflow. This role supports production team members when a Supervisor is not present, trains and coaches team members, and opens/closes shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
Responsibilities
- Open availability for 40 hours per week, primarily Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM
- Prepare, mix, cook, produce, pour, deposit, pull, and store all facility consumables and products
- Accurately prepare ingredients, workstations, and equipment, including regular checks to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain high-quality standards during shifts, including QA/QC for weights, appearance, and flavor profile
- Manage time effectively for yourself and your team to meet daily production expectations
- Work collaboratively in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
- Correctly infuse products by thoroughly scraping, turning, lifting, and rotating for the appropriate time
- Accurately read, record, and communicate kitchen data, counts, measurements, and weights
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Ensure proper storage of all consumables and products in compliance with safety practices
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards, keeping a clean and organized work environment
- Conduct visual quality inspections and minimize waste
- Communicate quality or safety discrepancies to Supervisors, Managers, and/or Directors
- Assist in training and coaching Production Support employees on procedures, techniques, and compliance
- Make recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training
- Assist the Production Manager or Supervisor as needed
- Ensure a safe working environment and review safety topics daily
- Assist with Packaging responsibilities as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
Requirements
- At least 1 year of directly related experience in a food production or kitchen environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
- Experience and familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (core applications), Google, Slack; experience with Jira or other management platforms preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Occasional travel required between buildings and sites
- Ability to maintain and manage confidential information
- Must be 21 years of age or older (state regulation)
- ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
- Must pass a background check
- Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications

Schedule
