CBD Packaging Lead

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area for yourself and other employees
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
• Maintain packaging flow by ensuring adequate product levels at each station
• Achieve quotas by observing Packaging Support team members and training/coaching
• Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced
• Work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
• Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Ensure proper storage of all facility consumables and products; storing food products in compliance with safety practices
• Maintain and comply with sanitation and safety standards; maintaining a clean and organized packaging area and work environment
• Perform visual quality inspections on products, minimize waste where possible
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
• Aid in training and coaching Packaging Support employees on proper procedures, techniques and compliance protocol
• Communicate quality or safety discrepancies to Supervisors, Managers and/or Directors
• Make recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of the Packaging Support team
• Assist the Production Manager or Packaging Supervisor as needed
• Ensure a safe working environment; reviewing and communicating daily on all safety related topics of discussion

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of directly related experience and/or training in a food production or manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
• Experience and familiarity with food manufacturing, sanitation and safety regulations
• Experience working with a high sense of urgency
• Computer Skills: Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or other management platforms and software preferred
• Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
• Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
