CBA Aircraft Mechanic (Unscheduled- Airframe) - T45 program

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company instructions.
  • Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to perform assigned tasks.
  • Read, interpret, and apply instructions from blueprints, schematics, and other approved technical data.
  • Absorb parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
  • Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work center and assigned work area.
  • Adhere to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company Tool Control Program.
  • Comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required, utilizing appropriate safety precautions.
  • Assist, when directed, to ensure the safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.
  • Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed, within the job classification.
  • Annotate maintenance actions on aircraft forms and Visual Information Display Systems (VIDS), in addition to MAF/OOMA.
  • Perform corrosion inspections, in addition to corrosion control cleaning/removal.
  • Must be willing and able to stand rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience within the last six (6) years performing repair and replacement of aircraft systems, components, and accessories, or satisfactory completion of the T45 OJT Program.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements.
  • Ability to meet any Government/Company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC.
  • Ability to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company proprietary data.
  • Completed high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
  • Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down, and working in tiring, uncomfortable positions.
  • Lifting objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds.
  • The ability to work within confined spaces for extended periods of time.
  • Special vision abilities required for this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
