About the role
The Maintenance Control Representatives will supervise work centers and personnel to ensure specific maintenance actions are completed to fulfill mission requirements. They must have comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical publications and processes, including CNAFINST 4790.2 Series, T/M/S technical publications, Special Projects/Flight Clearances/Interim Flight Clearances, and Aircraft Modification Instruction (VX-31INST 13050/1 Series).
Responsibilities
- Release Aircraft Safe for Flight (SFF)
- Monitor maintenance SCIR documentation via the NALCOMIS system
- Review Aircraft Weight and Balance forms for accuracy
- Direct scheduled/unscheduled maintenance actions to meet operational tasking
- Brief aircrew prior to Functional Check Flights (FCF)
- Review aircrew documentation of aircraft FCF performance
- Request cannibalization authorization from GMR when required
- Coordinate Depot Level Inspection/Repair actions
- Assign workload priorities
- Manage awaiting maintenance and material status
- Manage T/M/S Aircraft configuration
- Screen, maintain, and sign Aeronautical Equipment Service Records, Aircraft Logbooks
- Liaison with Quality Assurance (QA)
- Liaison with Projects Coordinator
- Understand Navy Working Capital Fund concept
- Notify Government Oversight QAR’s of all Flight Critical, Safety of Flight, and mandatory QA inspections
- Maintain high time components
- Establish supply priorities
- Coordinate work center maintenance tasking to meet daily Flight Schedule and Ground Test Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience with 10 years in the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification
- At least 6 years in a supervisory position with responsibility for assigning program workloads and duties for entire shifts
- Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Knowledgeable of technical directives and CNAFINST 4790.2 Series
- Knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures
- Possess a working knowledge of applicable aircraft
- One year of experience in a maintenance/production control position
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- U.S. Secret Clearance and ability to maintain same
- U.S. Citizen
