El Oro Cattle Feeders in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a feedyard maintenance team member. As a member of the feedyard maintenance crew, you will be expected to provide general upkeep and cleanliness on the feedyard premises. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Build fencesRepair and maintain feedbunksInstall and repair water lines and water tanksComplete farm maintenance and general building repairsOperate heavy equipment in various applicationsPerform routine equipment preventative maintenanceOperate and maintain attachmentsAssist yard maintenance team as assigned by managementUtilize various maintenance toolsFollow all company safety policiesMaintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basisPerform other related duties as assigned Qualifications A team-first mindsetAbility to work in inclement weather conditions as the job is located outdoorsAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbersAbility to print and speak simple sentencesAbility to follow instructions and ask for clarification when neededAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s is helpfulAbility to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distanceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Experience And Education Welding and heavy equipment experienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredOR minimum of one year of related experience and/or training Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlAbility to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds Wage Range: Starting at $20/hour BENEFITS: Competitive benefit package offered for regular (non-temporary/seasonal) employees (and qualified dependents) working 30+ hours per week includes medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, 401k, PTO accrual up to 15 days per year, six (6) paid holidays annually, and three (3) floating holidays.
