Responsibilities

• Build fences
• Repair and maintain feedbunks
• Install and repair water lines and water tanks
• Complete farm maintenance and general building repairs
• Operate heavy equipment in various applications
• Perform routine equipment preventative maintenance
• Operate and maintain attachments
• Assist yard maintenance team as assigned by management
• Utilize various maintenance tools
• Follow all company safety policies
• Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• A team-first mindset
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions (job is located outdoors)
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities/differences between words and series of numbers
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences
• Ability to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
• Basic arithmetic skills (add/subtract two-digit numbers, multiply/divide with 10’s and 100’s)
• Ability to perform operations using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance
• Common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Qualifications

• Welding and heavy equipment experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or minimum of one year of related experience and/or training

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds

Pay

Starting at $20/hour
