Catholic Preschool Assistant

About the role

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time assistant to assist in the classical and Catholic Preschool 3/4 classroom. The position is available up to 14 hours per week at their center in Lapeer, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Teach preschoolers in a classical and Catholic setting
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards
• Prepare lesson plans and curriculum at home
• Be prepared to teach in a highly structured environment

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required
• Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith and be willing to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church
• Strong communication skills and good organization are necessary
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to your state in life

Qualifications

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children is preferred
• Ministry in a Catholic parish or teaching Religious Education/Catechism classes is beneficial
• Teaching in a classical or private school is not required but can be helpful

• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Timely in preparing for classes
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship

Pay

Hourly pay is provided.

Schedule

Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30am-4:15pm.
