Catholic Preschool Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Assistant to assist in a classical and Catholic Preschool classroom at our location in Mechanicsburg, PA for the 2026-2027 academic year. Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition. RCA is a national organization that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Prepare for classes at home.
• Follow and implement lesson plans.
• Come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.
• Assist in the preschool classroom.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Completion of a background check.
• Completion of RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Ministry in a Catholic parish.
• Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
• Teaching your own children.
• Teaching in a classical or private school (although not required).

• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day.
• Having received all the sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.

Schedule

Hours are Mondays and Thursdays between 8:45 am - 3:30 pm.
