Catholic Pianist

About the role

The Catholic Pianist will provide musical direction and accompaniment for various Catholic services at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Memorial Chapel.

Responsibilities

• Play for Divine Worship on Sundays from 0830 – 1030
• Support non-routine Chapel programs and special services as needed
• Accompany and provide musical direction for Roman Catholic Mass every Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation
• Provide accompaniment and musical direction for special Catholic observances such as Holy Days, Christmas, Lent, and Easter services
• Provide musical support for the mid-week Roman Catholic choir rehearsal for a minimum of 60 minutes per week
• Knowledge of Catholic music and religious service organizations is required
• Minimum of two years experience as a pianist is required
• Ability to play a wide variety of music from traditional church hymns to contemporary church music is essential
