Catholic Elementary Teacher

About the role

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time 3rd or 6th grade teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom. Classes are self-contained, and teachers teach all subjects.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3rd or 6th grade students in a classical and Catholic classroom.
• Teach all subjects within the self-contained classes.
• Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Prepare lesson plans and curriculum at home.
• Be willing to teach in a highly structured environment.

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Experience in homeschooling or working with homeschool children is preferred.
• Experience in teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes is preferred.
• Experience in a classical or private school is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including receiving all sacraments appropriate to their state in life.

Pay

The pay is hourly, with no additional vacation days given (accommodations made for sick days as needed).

Schedule

Hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00am-3:30pm. Mandatory training on August 6 and 7, 2026, is required before working in the classroom (8am-5pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies always welcome).
