Catholic Elementary Teacher

About the role

Part‑time Catholic Elementary Teacher to teach 3rd Grade in a classical and Catholic classroom at Regina Caeli Academy in Fort Worth, Texas, for up to 14 hours per week during the 2026‑27 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Follow curriculum and grading guidelines supplied by RCA.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials at home before class.
• Manage the classroom according to RCA standards.
• Maintain a highly structured learning environment.
• Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.

Requirements

• Must be a practicing Catholic who has received all sacraments appropriate to one’s state in life.
• Ability to pass a clear background check and complete RCA Safe Child training.
• Availability to teach Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 am – 3:15 pm.
• Willingness to prepare for classes at home.

Preferred Experience

• Homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Ministry experience in a Catholic parish.
• Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
• Teaching one’s own children.
• Experience in a classical or private school (optional).

• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization and timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student‑teacher relationship.
• Commitment to living the Catholic faith day‑to‑day.
