Catholic Elementary Teacher

About the role

We are seeking part-time Elementary teachers to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom at our location in Pelham, New Hampshire, during the 2026-27 academic year. Available grades include 1st, 3rd, or 5th.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children, ministry in your Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school is beneficial but not required.
• Standard computer skills - ideally with Google Suite or an equivalent - are a plus.

• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• To be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.

Hours are Mondays and Thursdays 8:45 am - 3:30 pm.

• Mandatory training on August 10, 11, and 12, 2026, from 8am-5pm.
• No childcare provided, nursing babies always welcome.
