About the role

The Cardiovascular Technician assists the physician during cardiac catheterization procedures on adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients to determine appropriate patient treatment.

Responsibilities

• Technical application and scrubbing of cases
• Assisting the physician during cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures
• Balloon angioplasty and other interventional cardiovascular procedures
• IABP, temporary and permanent Pacemaker, and ICD Implants
• Cardiac Cath Lab radiographic application

Requirements

• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
• Able to assess data reflective of the patient's status
• Possess the ability to interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements
• Comply with HHS policy, procedures, values, and standards

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED
• Licenses/Certifications: AART, RCIS, BLS, ACLS within 90 days of hire
