About the role

The Cath Lab Technologist III plays a crucial role in delivering excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab setting. They operate all ancillary equipment, demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques, and adhere to radiation safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet.
  • Utilize strong organization skills, including strong interaction and time management, independent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and fiscal management.
  • Manage staff and room activities to maximize productivity, coordinate staffing assignments, and make suggestions for procedural changes.
  • Operate radiographic equipment and physiologic recorder/database system with expertise in recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Operate manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors).

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years clinical experience in a hospital setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR certification, within 14 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, including strong interaction and time management, independent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and fiscal management.
  • Ability to manage staff and room activities to maximize productivity, coordinate staffing assignments, and make suggestions for procedural changes.
  • Experience operating radiographic equipment and physiologic recorder/database system with expertise in recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Experience operating manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors).

Skills

  • Knowledge of diagnostic imaging workflow.
  • Ability to capture clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
  • Good radiation safety practices.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $41.14 - $61.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Schedule

The Cath Lab Technologist III works 80 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
