Cath Lab Technologist II
About the role
As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. You will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet
- Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Utilize good radiation safety practices
- Operate the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures
- Operate physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms
- Operate manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors)
- Develop cines when necessary according to policy
- Recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in room; report malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve
- Exhibit a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and interpret data gathered during procedures, recognizing potential implications in patient care or complications
Requirements
- Associate of Science degree, upon hire
- Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in a hospital setting, upon hire
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months

Pay
$37.40 - $55.63 /hour
