Troubleshooting and Patient Care

Troubleshoots and corrects recording instrument malfunctions or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings.

Independently prioritizes clinical and administrative work and identifies process improvements.

  • Processes patient and department records, ensuring documentation of performed tests in accordance with hospital standards.

Cardiovascular Procedures

Assists physicians in performing specialized cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation, and electrophysiology studies.

  • Evaluates and documents patient status, responds appropriately, and intervenes or refers in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Demonstrates clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge and skills, exceeding essential job responsibilities per department standards.

Commits to continued learning and shares knowledge with patients and co-workers, demonstrating team player characteristics and punctuality.

  • Maintains high skill level through participation in CQI, in-services, ongoing education, and attendance at 80% of staff meetings, providing on-call coverage outside of standard hours per department and facility policy.

Recognizes and promptly acts upon unusual results or patient responses by informing the primary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and foster optimal outcomes.

  • Adjusts approach based on patient and family understanding of test procedures and deals with various personality types, ages, and levels of consciousness.
