Cath Lab RN Associate Director

About the Role
This position provides managerial and clinical support to patients and staff in the Cath Lab Unit at Banner Health in Northern Colorado. You will lead a high-performing, experienced team, ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. This role involves managing daily operations, scheduling, supply management, and vendor relations across facilities in Greeley and Loveland, Colorado. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) during day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time clinical expertise for unit staff and physicians to resolve escalated patient, process, and family issues.
- Manage unit operations to ensure efficient patient care and resource utilization.
- Lead and implement quality and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the director.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facilitate communication of system, regional, and department initiatives.
- Manage operational and capital budgets, including resource allocation.
- Develop staff leadership through shared leadership models and career advancement opportunities.
- Oversee staff selection, orientation, onboarding, retention, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Actively mentor entry-level nurse managers while leading clinical improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- BSN or MSN required (BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months).
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of two years of clinical management experience relevant to the patient population.
- Strong knowledge and skills in the specialty area (Cath Lab).
- Critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Ability to practice according to department and professional standards.
- For Cath Lab: BSN and 3 years of experience in a Cath Lab or certification in medical imaging (e.g., ARRT, ARDMS, RCES, or RCIS) with 3 years of Cath Lab experience.
- Experience in leadership, including managing direct reports.
For positions in behavioral health settings serving children: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required at hire and maintained throughout employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
Pay
Estimated pay range: $48.71 - $81.19 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on years of relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
