Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float/Flex Team, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to contribute to optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to focus on dynamic environments that prioritize optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner.
• Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
• Ongoing assessment, formulate nursing diagnoses and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of these interventions.
• Consistently document in patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
• Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families, including education on topics such as Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall Prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision-making, and ensuring patient safety.
• Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population, participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with the Outcomes Managers and Department.

Requirements

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience.
• Registered Nurse: TX, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, required within 14 days upon hire.
