Responsibilities
- Aid ancillary departments with procedural processes.
- Communicate continuously with the physician and Cath/IR Lab staff.
- Assist physician during invasive and noninvasive procedures.
- Operate all equipment safely and correctly.
- Perform imaging procedures and ensure patient safety protocols.
- Support and maintain a culture of people, safety, service excellence, and quality.
- May work in other units as oriented/assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certified and unrestricted by the State of Wyoming to practice and administer radiation.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, Interventional Radiology, emergency care, or surgery.
- Knowledge of hemodynamics and Cardiac Dysrhythmia.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Relevant experience in Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, Interventional Radiology, emergency care, or surgery.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, certified and unrestricted by the State of Wyoming to practice and administer radiation.
Skills
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle emergency situations during low-, moderate- and high-risk procedures.
- Knowledge of hematoma management post-procedure for hospital staff.
- Adherence to infection control policies, including PPE use.
- Proactive, rounding with team members on the unit, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Competencies in procedures, processes, protocols, supplies, equipment, and critical care knowledge base.
