Qualifications
- ARRT-R and license as required by State
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Proficient computer skills
Skills
- Knowledge of invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to assist with scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data
- Experience in preparing procedure rooms
- Ability to monitor instrument and supply levels
- Participation in departmental meetings and performance improvement activities
- Training of new staff
- Assistance in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
Responsibilities
- Assists by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure
- Maintains par level of all instruments and supplies
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities
- Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
About the Role
Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), this position assists in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
