Catering Supervisor
Source Catering is the University of Bristol’s award-winning catering brand, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our team as a Catering Supervisor. This role involves working in one of our diverse catering outlets, including 4 catered halls of residence, events & conference spaces, 9 cafes, 2 bars, and a food court. The current vacancy is based in one of our catered halls in the Stoke Bishop area.
This role offers work-life balance, training & development opportunities, and the chance to work alongside a large, supportive team while contributing to exciting food & drink projects. The contract is term-time only, working 35 hours per week over 5 days for 34 weeks of the year, providing generous time off during the Summer, Christmas, and Easter periods.
About the role
The Catering Supervisor will oversee daily tasks, ensuring the team has what they need to perform their duties while setting a tone of friendly and professional customer service. You will lead the front-of-house catering team, exemplify great customer service, and support managers with tasks such as ordering, rotas, end-of-day duties, and due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front-of-house catering team members.
- Set an example of excellent customer service.

- Maintain high standards of organisation and adaptability to business needs.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in food & drink.
Requirements
- Hospitality experience in food service and guest interaction.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience working within a diverse team.
- Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
Pay
Salary: £24,685 - £26,093 per annum (pro rata).
Schedule
- Full-time, term-time only (34 weeks per year).
- 35 hours per week over 5 days (shifts spread over 7 days).
