Job Description The Lead Server ensures all standards of service are met before, during and after events, to include set-up, service, breakdown and clean-up of events. The Lead Server is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed according to instructions, as provided by a Supervisor/Manager. Job Responsibilities On GoingLead a team and ensure timely set-up, breakdown and clean-up of designated function areaFollow instructions and ensure timely completion of all assignments as provided by Supervisor/ManagerMaintain active presence during pre-event meetings conducted by Supervisor/Management to learn and understand function particulars, client needs or expectationsAssign and oversee completion of miscellaneous side work including but not limited to polishing service ware, refilling condiments, cleaning décor items, cleaning and organizing equipmentAdhere to all building and company specific safety practices and work in a safe mannerEnsure compliance with state, federal and company-specific food safety and sanitation guidelinesCommunicate effectively with peers, supervisors, management before, during and after eventMiscellaneous tasks as assigned by ManagerPre-EventReview all banquet event ordersReview all service assignments as provided by Supervisor/Manager and ensure all associates are working on assigned servicesEnsure a sufficient supply of all silverware, glassware and china for serviceDuring EventMaintain oversight of all service and back of house areasCommunicate any challenges to Supervisor/ManagerProvide courteous, continuous service to guests in event areasPost EventReview any outstanding items with Supervisor/ManagerOversee clean up and organization of event area and back of house areas Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or above1-3 years prior Server, Busser or Coffee Server experience in high-volume CateringPrior experience utilizing BEOs to set up, execute and properly account for services in high volume Catering Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate with staff, managers and guests Education About Aramark Our Mission Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
