Catering Manager | Full-Time | Sharonville Convention Center

Responsibilities

• Aids in the effective management of catering and concessions operations.
• Maintains compliance with all alcohol service policies during events.
• Makes immediate reports of any alcohol service or compliance issues to management.
• Directs, supervises, and mentors hourly event staff.
• Maintains product quality and ensures high levels of guest service.
• Assists in troubleshooting technical problems with Point of Sale systems.
• Supports the Sales Manager in various sales-related duties.
• Generates event employee schedules and verifies employee time.
• Mentors, trains, and supervises hourly employees as directed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3-5 years of experience in catering or concessions.
• National Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires.
• Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.
• Familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning.
• Basic computer proficiency: e-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+.
• Working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems.
• Cash handling abilities and basic math skills, including significant number manipulation.
• Ability to work a variable work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
