Catering Houseman - Yankee Stadium

The Catering Houseman role is responsible for the delivery, maintaining, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring a sufficient supply of products in the Premium Service areas of the venue. This includes assistance in setting up and/or breaking down functions periodically or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels, obtain supplies and equipment as requested per venue
• Ensure assigned areas are kept clean and orderly
• Perform and assist with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility
• Ensure requisitions are delivered in a timely manner
• Pick up and distribute items from the Warehouse
• Set up event equipment such as tables, chairs, chafers, china, silverware, roll-ups, glassware, heating lamps, and elements
• Remove and place furniture according to the Stadium Operations floor plan
• Ensure cleanliness of event space and service areas
• Remove all trash from event area
• Set up and break down, clean, and store all furniture, banquet tables, beverages, equipment, and linen
• Clean, organize, and store glassware, china, and silverware
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all Catering storage areas
• Handle linen storage, distribution, and drop-off
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures, and complete company-wide safety training

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English to communicate with guests
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
• Ability to work all venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
• Two to three years of experience working in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant

Pay

$23.55/hour

Schedule

On-site at Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY. Includes extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
