About the role

Lake Seminole Square is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Catering Coordinator to join our Food & Beverage team. The Catering Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing catering functions and events within the community. This role requires strong computer, organizational, and customer service skills, the ability to manage logistics, and the flexibility to work a schedule that adapts to community event needs. The Catering Coordinator will serve, host, and oversee events while also managing the administrative and operational responsibilities related to catering services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, serve, and host community and private events to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Develop and manage banquet and catering menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Interact with residents, guests, and clients to provide exceptional customer service and ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare and distribute invoices, and handle payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule, train and oversee serving staff to maintain high standard of service.
  • Communicate event details, setup requirements, and timelines with all departments involved.
  • Ensure all events are properly staffed, equipped, and executed to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate event records, contracts, and financial documentation.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with the culinary team for catering supply needs.
  • Adapt to changing schedules based on community activities, resident requests, and event demands.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the success of catering services and events.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills in order to work effectively with residents, patients, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and other outside contacts.
  • Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the work day; ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality or event coordination preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED or the equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years restaurant or senior living experience, or equivalent serving and staff management experience.
