Cataract Surgeon - Las Cruces, NM

About the role

The position is for a BC/BE Cataract Surgeon to join a collaborative team in Southern New Mexico and El Paso, TX. The team consists of 7 surgeons, 5 optometrists, and dedicated support staff who provide comprehensive eye care including LASIK, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and oculoplastics.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of a wide range of eye diseases
• Participation in clinical research and educational programs
• Collaboration with other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care
• Teaching and mentoring of residents and fellows
• Assisting in the management of the practice’s administrative functions

Requirements

• Board Certification in Ophthalmology
• Board Eligible for Ophthalmology
• At least 3 years of recent experience in private practice
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current license to practice medicine in the state(s) where you will be working
• Experience with cataract surgery techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
