About the role
The Catalog Production Designer will support the creation, production, and execution of catalogs and marketing materials across multiple product categories and brands. This role works closely with Marketing, Product Development, Sales, and external partners to produce accurate, brand-consistent, visually compelling print and digital assets.
Responsibilities
- Support the production of catalogs from initial layout through final print-ready files.
- Create, update, and maintain catalog pages using established templates, stylesheets, and brand standards.
- Create catalog covers, spreads, product layouts, feature pages, and promotional sections.
- Maintain consistency across typography, spacing, imagery, product presentation, and brand guidelines.
- Support catalog automation workflows using tools such as inRiver PIM, EasyCatalog, Dcatalog, or similar systems.
- Prepare files for proofing, internal review, vendor upload, and final print production.
- Review proofs and make corrections to ensure accuracy before final approval.
- Help maintain efficient file organization, version control, and production workflows.
- Design and produce marketing materials for print, digital, web, email, sales, and campaign needs.
- Aid in creative concepts for catalog covers, layouts, promotional features, and campaign visuals.
- Assist with image editing needs.
- Apply brand standards across all creative work while contributing fresh design ideas and layout improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in catalog production, graphic design, print production, or a related creative production role.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
- Experience creating and updating InDesign templates, stylesheets, master pages, and production layouts.
- Experience with catalog automation tools such as EasyCatalog.
- Strong understanding of print production requirements, including bleeds, margins, resolution, color modes, preflight, proofing, and print-ready file preparation.
- Strong graphic design skills with the ability to create clean, professional, brand-aligned layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, proofreading, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
- Comfortable working with marketing, creative, product, sales, vendors, and freelance partners.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on projects for public sector organizations is a plus.
