CAT Scanner Technologist PRN, As Needed

Responsibilities

• Utilize imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality.
• Apply professional knowledge to prepare patients for the procedure, educate and respond to questions or concerns.
• Ensure age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development.
• Demonstrate an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

• State Radiography License AND must obtain ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year of hire OR
• Temporary State Radiography License AND must obtain ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) within 1 year of hire
