Cat Scan Technician (CT) PRN, Acute

About the role

A Cat Scan Technician (CT) provides computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director of Radiology and/or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing diagnostic imaging services to patients.
• Performs CT examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assists in the preparation of patients for examination, including positioning and immobilization.
• Operates CT equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient image acquisition.
• Documents patient information accurately and maintains medical records.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Two-year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree.
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology and Computed Tomography.
• BLS required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.

• Proficiency with CT equipment and related technology.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection practices.
