About the role
Casual/On Call Banquet Server at Fairmont Olympic Hotel - Seattle, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet and dining areas according to event specifications
- Ensure all table settings are clean, properly arranged, and meet standards
- Serving group functions per individual client specifications
- Server food and beverages promptly and efficiently
- Ensure guests' needs are met throughout the event, including refilling drinks and addressing any special requests
- Auxiliary guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions and menus
Requirements
- Previous food and beverage service experience required
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage and a passion for service
- Proven experience in flourishing in dynamic team environments
- Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- WA Food Handler Card required
- WA Liquor control (MAST) card required
- Must hold valid US work authorization
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
