Casual Medical Assistant II-Foulk Road
About the role
The Medical Assistant (MA) will serve as an important liaison between patients, providers, and other care team members. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake, ensuring appropriate information is available to the provider, and entering pertinent history in the medical record. Additionally, the MA will perform and assist with clinical procedures as directed by the provider and according to protocols.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant I: High School diploma or GED required. Must obtain BLS through AHA within 90 days. Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or MA certification required (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NHA).
- Basic clinical and administrative skills.
- Mentor and train new Medical Assistants.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant II: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant. High School diploma or GED required. Must obtain BLS through AHA within 90 days. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification as a medical assistant through an alternate pathway. Certification required (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA).
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks.
