Casual IT Installation Technician
Casual CONUS/OCONUS Technical Engineering resources needed to provide survey, installation, and configuration assistance for a Wireless Intrusion Detection System at various domestic and international locations. Work is on an as-needed basis, with 2-4 weeks of work every 2-3 months. Schedules will be arranged prior to installations and may vary in length.
Responsibilities
- Antenna and bracket assembly
- Installation above drop-ceilings
- Pulling and terminating ethernet cables
- Transporting equipment between buildings
- Fiber optic cable installation and termination (as required)
- Adherence to all applicable Amentum safety standards
- Work may include business hours and after-hours, depending on customer building availability
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in a related field
- Prior experience with current IT installation procedures and methods
- Working knowledge of signal flow and low-voltage power systems
- Ability to climb stepladders up to approximately 10 feet or use scissor lifts for higher ceilings
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a multilateral environment with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Pay
$85.00 per hour (good-faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws).
