About the role
To provide outstanding guest service, both internal and external.
- Safeguard company funds while maintaining accurate accountability of funds and to promote the facilities, services, programs, and events of the Cactus Petes properties.
- Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- This is a uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
- Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by any Cactus Petes entity or by a guest of Cactus Petes Casinos.
- Redeem coins, tickets, chips and cash guest checks.
- Maintain and assure the proper handling and routing of all paperwork.
- Assist guests in completing mychoice membership.
- Enter membership information into computer.
- Perform data entry for current events into event codes.
- Issue replacement cards for guests.
- Assist in Marketing promotions and player events involving the promotions department and mychoice.
- Assist members with point redemption for cash back and, if available, various merchandise.
- Support back office, Casino Services Manager, Executive Hosts and Marketing Department.
- Resolve any guest problem or perceived inconvenience both positive and negative in nature.
- Assist in meeting arriving bus groups.
- Act as “Sales Representative” and central information center for the property, usually being the first contact by guests.
- Conduct paging in Casino when requested.
- Provide complimentaries when play warrants.
- Be familiar with the safe handling of cleaning product, equipment, and supplies.
- Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior cash handling experience preferred.
- Prior experience with computer required. Experience with POS, data entry, Microsoft Programs, Windows, and internet preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
- Employee will be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second hand tobacco smoke.
