Position Summary
Responsible for minor maintenance of buildings and grounds of the casino. Performs housekeeping duties as well as shampooing carpets and deep cleaning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
- Must learn and ensure procedures are being followed per the departments' cleaning/duties schedules.
- Must adhere to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook.
- Must adhere to our SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service.
- Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members.
- The Graveyard Maintenance must be proactive and identify problems, & solutions. Follow through with your department supervisor or manager.
- Maintains casino grounds and undertakes projects that are within his experience in construction.
- Maintains all cosmetic items in the casinos' public areas and outside buildings.
- Assists outside Engineers and Mechanics in repairs.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area in the Maintenance Shop.
- Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the casino, accounting building, and other out-laying buildings on casino's property, identifying potential problems, and resolving them in a proficient timely manner.
- Responds to all maintenance requests.
- Shampooing carpets and performs housekeeping duties.
- Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity.
- Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have minimal knowledge of plumbing and carpentry maintenance.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- Must have a current driver's license.

- Able to work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress).
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The team member is occasionally required to walk and sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The team member is regularly required to climb a twelve-foot ladder.
- The team member is frequently required to lift 10 to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
