Maintenance Standards
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the company. Assist customers as necessary to ensure their satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
- Responsible for spot vacuuming as required.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking all restrooms.
- Mopping floors around the bars, restrooms and other areas as needed.
- Removing all trash and debris from machines, emptying and cleaning of all ashtrays.
- Trash and debris to be deposited in the outside dumpster.
- Use of chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment.
- Able to read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
- Must be able to interact with guests and provide guest service according to company standards.
- Must always demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and leadership.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
- Follow all cleaning, sanitation and PPE position specific guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing Commission.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Six months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
Physical Demands
- Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods of time.
- Working in small, confined areas, with floors, which are or may become slippery in the process of conducting work activities.
- Lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment.
Work Environment
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee mostly works inside the building.
- The employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment may be loud in guest areas.
- Exposure to unrestricted second-hand smoke.
