Casino Bartender Part Time

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent guest service by preparing cocktails and beverages for guests and servers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Takes beverage orders from customers and checks identification to verify age requirements
• Promotes brands and products to increase sales
• Prepares cocktails and beverages for guests and cocktail servers according to recipes and specifications
• Performs set up and breakdown of bar area as well as side work and projects as needed
• Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the bar/work area in accordance with company and health department standards
• Aids with inventory control, stocking, and proper rotation of product
• Performs responsible alcohol service with regards to guest limitations
• Completes monetary transactions using a point-of-sale system by maintaining cash drawer, accepting cash or card for payment, returning correct change, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of all menu items and prices as well as related regulations for drink preparation and storage
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol
• Knowledge of all bar equipment, cash register, and company beverage system as well as wines, alcohol, and mixed drinks

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume.

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Relevant work experience in mixing a variety of alcoholic beverages
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
