About the role

The Front End Cashier operates the register system and check stand to provide customers with accurate and efficient checkout service. You will maintain high standards of customer service, present yourself professionally, and comply with all store policies. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at your workstation
• Bag customer orders and thank the customer
• Operate the complete register system proficiently
• Be responsible and accountable for your cash drawer
• Maintain a neat and organized workstation and Front End area
• Communicate store-sponsored promotions to customers
• Complete the Front End cleaning checklist daily
• Be present at your workstation at the start of your shift
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Balance cashier drawers as required
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to the Dress Code policy
• Ensure attendance is consistent, as it is essential to department function
• Follow all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Perform all duties designated within the Essential Functions of the role

Requirements

• No minimum educational requirement
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Willing to work part-time and weekends
• Ability to move and/or lift 20 pounds
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken English
• Proficiency in reading, writing, analyzing, and interpreting English
• Vision abilities including close, distant, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
• Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and talk or hear
