About the role

The Front End Cashier operates the register system and check stand, ensuring accurate and efficient checkout service while maintaining professionalism and high customer service standards. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs and supervisor discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival at your workstation.
• Bag customer orders and thank them for their purchase.
• Operate and maintain knowledge of the complete register system.
• Be responsible and accountable for your cash drawer.
• Keep your workstation and the Front End area neat and organized.
• Communicate store-sponsored promotions to customers.
• Complete the Front End cleaning checklist daily.
• Arrive at your workstation at the start of your shift.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform balancing procedures for cashier drawers.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to the Dress Code policy.
• Ensure regular attendance to support department function.
• Comply with all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform all essential functions as designated in your job responsibilities.

Requirements

• No minimum educational requirement.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Willingness to work part-time and weekends.
• Ability to move and/or lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken English proficiently.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret English with sufficient proficiency.
• Vision abilities including close, distant, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages.
• Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and talk or hear.
