CASHIER (PART TIME)
About the role
Fresh Ideas is seeking immediate part-time CASHIER positions at Mid-Plains Community College located at 601 West State Farm Road, North Platte, NE 69101. Online applications are accepted only. Part-time schedule includes weekdays with varying hours, and weekends are included. Pay range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Responsibilities
- Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports.
- Maintains sanitation standards in the cafe line, stocking condiments, coffee, and other beverages, and ensuring compliance with company service standards and inventory procedures.
- Observes customer purchases and differentiates between standard portions, replenishing supplies and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene requirements.
- Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior cashier experience is preferred.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in food service or related field is preferred.
Skills
Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational skills are essential.
