CASHIER (PART TIME)

About the role

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time CASHIER at Ballad Health - Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. The position is part-time, working 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. Perks include opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Accepts various forms of payment and issues receipts to customers.
• Issues cash refunds and interacts with customers to resolve complaints.
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cafe line, stocking condiments, coffee, and other beverages.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Observes customer purchases and replenishes supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• May perform general food service work.

Requirements

Previous food service experience is a plus. No special certifications or licenses are required.

Pay

$14.00 per hour

Schedule

Part time schedule: 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.
