About the role
The Senior Accounting Officer, Supervisor (SAOS) is responsible for planning, assigning, directing, reviewing and evaluating the work of the Cash Receipts Unit accounting staff within the Accounts Receivable & Cash Receipts Section.
The Cash Receipts Unit is responsible for processing incoming mails, processing with the Remittance Processing System (RPS), posting, depositing, and remitting of all cash receipts including checks and Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs).
This SAOS must have an understanding of Title 19 (Medical) and Title 21 (Healthy Families) grants and funding breakdown.
The SAOS assists with monitoring of deposits through Financial Information System of California (FI$Cal).
