About the role

The CIB US Cash Payments Operator supports and executes tasks related to payments. This role aims to deliver superior service to clients by driving and optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of people, processes, and technology, thereby enhancing financial performance, increasing investment capacity, and managing risk.

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute tasks related to payments.
  • Day-to-day operations of the company's business units.
  • Analyze and review data tools, business processes, and operational standards to execute service delivery.
  • Evaluate and ensure operations meet company objectives, business needs, service agreements, and relevant requirements.
  • Research and monitor external landscape to identify developments and translate them into operational implications for the company.
  • Monitor payments transactions to ensure processing in accordance with SLA as well as Bank Policy and Procedures.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment processing.
  • Investigate and resolve payments-related issues.
  • Open investigation cases, follow up with all parties involved.
  • Escalate any issue related to payment processing, independently if operational or technical.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any questions and/or issues related to payments.
  • Perform EOD Reconciliation and analyze discrepancies.
  • Ensure payment systems are functioning properly.
  • Avoidance of operational and technical issues related to payment processing.
  • Assist in the testing of systems when relating to BCP, upgrades, or maintenance.
  • Participate in projects/initiatives related or impacting payments.
  • Conduct testing of new payment futures and system upgrades to ensure functionality are met.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to payment processing, including BSA/AML and OFAC Standards.
  • Prepare reports for the management related to payment processing and investigations.
  • Provide support to internal users (e.g.: Finance, Business, BO, Client Service..) regarding payment systems and processing.
  • Ability to multitask – for a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain Policies and Procedures and ensure it alignment with the current process, regulations, and control risk framework.

Requirements

  • Experience with ACH and Wire Transfers.
  • Knowledge of checks in the US is preferable.
  • Knowledge of payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, ACH, Fedline, wire transfer systems), regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Spanish skills a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Organized and rigorous attention to detail with a control-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum experience.

Pay

$70,000.00 USD to $90,000.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Full-time position.
